What is the accommodation like?

Guests stay in a fully equipped self-catering farmhouse. It includes all basic amenities and bedding. The house is private, family-friendly, and offers peaceful views of the surrounding veld.

What types of trails are there?

Hiking & Trail Running

  • Central accommodation in farmhouse sleeps 12
  • Additional accommodation for bigger groups
  • 1-5 Days hikes
  • Distances vary from 15-25 km per day

Mountain Biking

  • 16 km: Green. Mainly flat jeeptrack with no dangerous uphills and downhills.
  • 26 km: Yellow Blue. Mostly well-prepaired single track with several mild to steeper up and downhills.
  • 50 km: Yellow Red. First 30 km will be mostly on the 26 km route. Second part will be a flatter route.
  • 80 km: Yellow Red. Will consist of the 50 km route plus a repeat of the 26/30 km route.
What is slackpacking?
Slackpacking means you hike or run with only a light daypack — we take care of the rest!
Are the trails suitable for children or beginners?
Yes — although the distances are moderate, the terrain is mostly manageable. Children and beginners are welcome to enjoy shorter loops and explore at their own pace.
Can we bring pets?
Please contact us in advance to discuss pets — approval depends on the season and situation on the farm.
What should I bring with me?

We recommend packing:

  • Comfortable trail clothes and shoes
  • Your own mountain bike & helmet (if cycling)
  • Water bottle or hydration pack
  • Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
  • Warm layers — evenings can be cool
  • Food and drinks (self-catering)
  • Towels and toiletries
  • Flashlight or headlamp
  • Binoculars (if birdwatching)
  • Dinner is available by prior arrangement — please let us know when booking.
